Mother’s Day 2017

I was wondering how many of you are gluten free either by choice or have to be? I guess it really does not matter thing is wouldn’t it be nice to make a great cake for your mom (or for someone you look up to as a mom) that you can share with her?

Sooo, if you were unable to order your gluten-free cheesecake to share here is a great recipe for one of the best Angel Food Cake I have ever had! It’s very easy to make with two minor changes (1) use Cup 4 Cup gluten free flour, I have found it is one of the best to use for baking (2) when baking don’t over mix and most important once you have mixed all the ingredients together always, always let the dough rest for at least 30 minutes.

Now go make a yummy Angel Food Cake to share! I’m sharing this amazing recipe because you know Mama, always told me to share!

Oh yes, I made it see the pic below, I also made the strawberries (mashed them all by myself!), and the whip cream all with love of course!

Spring Means New & Fresh!

Spring is in the air and of course that means it’s time to clean-up and to create new or freshen it up a bit. Mama wants to make sure that this blog is kept up to date and is always filled with information!

You may or may not have heard that Mama Cheesecake was out in Malibu for a month. At their Farmers Market on Sundays, it was so cool to meet new peeps and to get some great ideas and information.

One of the things Mama heard over and over again was “I really would like to a soy free as well as nut free cheesecake can you make?” The other was can you make a sugar free cheesecake?

Here is the reply…

Mama is on a hunt to find a way to make the one ingredient that carries soy out of our vegan cheesecake. She is onto something this very moment! She is in the kitchen trying out two different ways one using a Greek style yogurt in the place of sour cream (vegan of course) or if need be making her own sour cream. Finding a recipe she likes for a great sour cream that does not have nuts or soy in it is a challenge but one she does not mind taking on!

She is currently looking for this brand!                  

As for the sugar free cheesecake this is an important style to figure out there has been many recipes she has tried but none of them seem to be good enough for her seal of approval. So she is busy creating her own recipe using bits and pieces she has learned along the way and from other recipes. In fact Mama is hoping to have something to share with all the peeps who need a sugar free cheesecake by Summer 2017! So lets hope all goes well in the test kitchen in fact who knows maybe, just maybe a new style will emerge before this Summer!

For those of you who don’t know Mama’s cream cheese that is used in her vegan cheesecake is all handcrafted! It does not contain Soy, Nuts and of course Diary. And, it is pretty darn good if I may say so my self!
